After nearly 20 years helping literally thousands of Government Contractor clients understand and successfully navigate complex federal rules and regulations, we knew there had to be a better way to train, educate, and communicate with Government Contractors more efficiently and effectively.
Unfortunately, most web-based Government Contracts training content is a thinly disguised marketing pitch to purchase consulting services, or it fails to explain, in plain language, how to both comply with AND leverage Government Contracting programs and rules in order to grow a more successful and profitable business.
Because we are Attorneys, Accountants, and Consultants with decades of experience representing Government Contractor clients, we know that while there are certain situations where you need to pay professionals to represent you, there are many times when you simply need to UNDERSTAND complex rules, regulations, and programs without breaking the bank. Particularly at start-up, hiring professionals to help educate you on these various can be overwhelming and expensive.
In our web-based LIVE and ON-DEMAND webinars, experts in the industry will explain exactly what Government Contractors need to know about the most important (and ever-evolving) topics in the industry. Through our webinars, you can learn how to successfully navigate Government Contracting programs, rules, regulations, and compliance traps – both by participating and asking questions in our LIVE webinar Q&A sessions and while watching our library of up-to-date ON-DEMAND webinars.
GovConTraining’s mission is to effectively, efficiently, and economically train and educate Government Contractors both large and small – from those just starting out as a small, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Woman Owned, or HUBZone company, to large prime contractors who act as Mentors and utilize small business subcontractors, to Government and Contracting Officials, to other Industry players who just need to understand the complex world of Government Contracting.
At GovConTraining we want to simplify training and education to help you focus on the success of your business.
In his legal practice, Brad counsels government contractor clients to help them avoid risk and grow more profitable, thriving businesses. He helps his clients make sense of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Small Business Regulations, and other statutory, regulatory, and legal minefields that keep business owners up at night. Brad has particular expertise guiding Mergers & Acquisitions for Government Contractors (both on the buy and sell side) and he is deeply familiar with the SBA’s Small Business Programs and compliance requirements, including the 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), HUBZone, Women-Owned Small business (WOSB and EDWOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) programs, as well as the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program and state small business and socio-economic certification programs.
Together with Reaves GovCon’s Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions team, Brad counsels government contractor clients through business transactions that must take into account government contracts regulations, such as complex affiliation, recertification, and compliance rules for small businesses. Whether navigating the SBA’s Mentor-Protégé Program, creating strategic Joint Venture and Teaming Arrangements, or navigating subcontracting compliance issues, Brad makes sure that his clients have the tools they need to make their businesses successful, and to take full advantage of government contracting programs as well as strategic relationships – all while avoiding compliance problems.
Brad also works closely with other members of Reaves GovCon’s Government Contracts team on bid protests (both at the GAO and at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims), as well as size and status protests at SBA’s Area Offices and the SBA’s Office of Hearings and Appeals (OHA). He often helps clients navigate the SBA’s complex regulations and guidance concerning affiliation both inside and outside of size protest settings.
